The Post Synodal Apostolic Exhortation “Amoris Laetitia” due to be released in the next few hours is expected to allow a pastoral approach which will permit persons living in a state of un-repented mortal sin, such as divorced and remarried Catholics to receive Holy Communion and participate in the life of the Church in ways currently not open to them. If this is permitted across the Church or nor likely, permitted to be determined by national Bishop's conferences, it will not merely be an attack on the nature of marriage, but it will be an attack on the Faith of the Church at it's very essence. It will not be a pastoral solution based on "mercy" but a purge of faithful Catholics from the heart of the Church.
