Taking a Country Hostage

U.S. President, Barak Hussein Obama, the man of hope and change who promised the most open government in history (and has delivered the least) has decided that it is time to take his country hostage. He is in negotiations with a GOP house on the Federal Budget. Obama wants to raise taxes and increase spending, the republicans want to freeze taxes and cut spending so the country can begin to pay off its huge debt to China.
Firstly Democrats were arguing that the president could invoke the 14th amendment to the US Constitution, a Civil War amendment, to act without congressional approval in order to guarantee the economic security of the country. Republicans then pointed out that the 14th amendment deals with the president’s role as commander-in-chief of the armed forces, and as he is not commander-in-chief of the economy, the 14th amendment does not apply.
Now Obama has decided it is time to take bold action, he has said that if his budget proposals are not agreed to by the 3rd of August, he cannot guarantee that the Social Security cheques that are due to go out the next day will go out. Effectively, Obama is putting a gun to the head of the unemployed, veterans and pensioners and then saying to the Congress, give me the money or I’ll pull the trigger. Here is the video:
Personally I hope that the GOP has the guts to call this terrorism what it is and go to the people with it. Americans often tell the rest of us that they won’t negotiate with Terrorists…. I don’t think they should, no matter who he is or what shape his office.

Christian Brothers crucified by Ouattara forces in Ivory Coast

Without wishing to incite hatred or anything silly, it appears that some errant members of the religion of peace are taking the Qur'an 5:33 just a bit too seriously..... God love em.

I'll take God's Chihuahuas over the Black Sheep Dog Any Day!

Take a look at this…

This is a great parody of the hypocrisy of Fr John Corapi. I feel for him facing the accusations he has, I believe him when he says they are totally unfounded, but I have absolutely no respect for his decision to leave the priesthood.

His decision to leave the priesthood is offensive to all faithful Catholics who have ever had to struggle through difficult times in their marriage, or put up with the persecutions and humiliations doled out by heretical Bishops such as the patron of this site and their modernist clergy. He can no more leave the priesthood than I can stop being the father of my children. I pray for him that when his head stops spinning it is facing the front once again (and he has gotten rid of that ridiculous dye in his beard), and encourage you to pray for him too.

Sadly I believe that he will discover fairly quickly that most of those people who were willing to pay to hear him preach were not interested in him so much as Christ. John Corapi has little to offer the world, whereas Fr Corapi had Christ.

He could confect the Eucharist for God’s sake. Who in their right mind, or state of grace, would walk away from that?
